Projeo Employee Katerina Yared Receives SPWLA Medal of Honor for Career Service

Today Projeo Corporation, a subsidiary of GTI International, announced that Katerina Yared, Projeo Project Manager, has been awarded the Medal of Honor for Career Service by the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA). Katerina was honored at an awards ceremony at the SPWLA 65th Annual Symposium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on May 21.
The SPWLA’s Medal of Honor for Career Service is awarded to individuals in recognition of extraordinary and long-term service to the SPWLA Corporation. This lifetime achievement award is a testament to Katerina’s exemplary leadership, work ethic, and commitment to excellence throughout her career. Katerina’s achievements have advanced subsurface exploration and development within the industry and have also positively impacted Projeo.

Katerina is an accomplished energy and sustainability expert with a deep-rooted passion for advancing climate impact mitigation and energy future transformation. As a project manager at Projeo, she leverages her extensive background to drive sustainable solutions.
Katerina is also an active participant in various energy-related organizations. She is the 63rd president of the SPWLA and is currently a director-at-large for the Energy Leadership Institute (ELI), among others. Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and licensed as a Professional Geoscientist (PG), Katerina's qualifications speak to her leadership and dedication to fostering sustainable energy solutions. She holds an M.Sc. in Geology from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, and an M.Sc. in Sustainable Management from the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay.
